For most foreigners who wish to make their home in Japan, becoming a permanent resident status is the first step. How about trying to obtain Hoikushi Certification? In this presentation we will introduce what Hoikushi is, and how to get Hoikushi Certification as a foreigner. This could be one of your paths to permanent resident status in Japan!

Most students carried out their assigned vocabulary study, but did they benefit from doing so? Were they gaming the system for easy points?

Data from a survey of several hundred students will be discussed.
