International Early Childhood Education centers are booming, growing to over 2000 schools in two decades. Traditionally privately owned or run by NPO/religious organizations, large companies, banks, investment firms and tech companies have become involved. Student focus has shifted to include both Japanese families and more permanent foreign residents as visa laws have allowed more foreigners to live and work in Japan. This presentation will examine the state of the industry in light of these changes, COVID-19 and what we might see in the coming decade. Special attention will be paid to those hoping to get involved in the sector in the near future, as an employee, owner or investor. Audience aimed at: Kindergarten and below. School Owners.
